The canals run through London, north of the Thames, and quite close to our new place. Although we won't often be navigating the canal by boat, there is also a lovely footpath.

boat ride
Nicholas' co-worker Roland lives on a canal boat! Last weekend was smoking hot -- perfect weather for a boat ride.

Did you go through Camden lock (or is that in a different canal system)? It must be kind of fun to explore via the canals--they show the backside of a city and its history, sort of like railway tracks.
