Big day for a little man

Today Rowan had his first trip off the Square and first cuddle in his sling.  We went to Camden Town Hall to register his birth, and topped the day off with a first bath.  We will all sleep well tonight.... or will we?  :|

One week in

Rowan is seven days old!  The week has flown by and we're still in an euphoric dream state.  The learning curve is steep, but Rowan is kindly – and gently – showing us the ropes. 

Rowan greets his fifth day

Here are some shots of little Rowan, including his recent big adventures to sunny Mecklenburgh Square (across the road), and a visit from a few of his friends: 7 week old Juliya, from Lithuania; 2 week old Nicolas, from Brazil; and 9 week old Chinwendu, from Nigeria.  We’re all doing fabulously.  As the youngest member, and a home-birth baby, he is a mini-celebrity here at The College.  And of course, as the most handsome little man in Bloomsbury, it’s hard not to fall in love with him.  

Rowan meets the World

We are delighted to announce that Rowan Mecklenburgh Hunt-Thompson was born at home on 21 May at 10:04am.  All is very, very well.

39 weeks

As requested, here is a recent shot of "the bump".  I am officially on maternity leave, feeling very well, and enjoying a divine London spring in our Mecklenburgh Square.
