NYC V -- "staff meetings"

The best part of the trip was spending time with my faculty -- which happens less often than I would like in London.


We made time for a number of "staff meetings" at cocktail bars.


Innes (below centre), a departmental historian (who is coincidentally (?) leading a project on "vice" in New York), did some great cocktail bar research.

Highlights include the Flatiron Lounge and the Raines Law Room.

Since my return, I've been scheming to make this happen more often in London.
