Max arrived a couple days ago and we've been wandering through museums and markets, dodging shoppers and generally eating too much.
The longest lines are around the food shops. Here Max and Nicholas queue up at the Neal's Yard Dairy. We are planning to survive on cheese and carnitas until the new year.
Yesterday we went to Ye Old Cheshire Cheese for a drink and some chips. The pub has been around since the mid-17th century... and hasn't changed a bit.
Here are the lads again in action -- in their woollies.
The night before Max arrived we went to Royal Albert Hall to see the King's College Choir. (Goodenough College has a box at the Hall, so we get tickets cheap, cheap, cheap!) We're hoping to weasel our way into a midnight mass somewhere tonight.

Merry Christmas from the Freys! We are off to Val and Brian's tonight for a festive pig-out of cous-cous and other seasonal treats. David and Brian have been told that they have to set up the hockey game for Joanna and eat an inordinate amount of goodies, given the absence of various Hunts, Murrays and partners tonight. Tough duty! Given the weather over there, we were pleased to see that Max made it across the ditch for a visit. Best wishes for the holidays and a happy New Year.
