a cloud by any other name
Legend would have us believe that Inuit people have umpteen words for snow*. I don't want to get carried away with generalisations about people and weather, but curiously, the Brits identify more than one kind of cloud.

I've thought often that the Germans might have 15 different words for "no" - But really there are as many different "no"s as there are doormen.
